PURPOSE:To carry out the second coating at a time with existing equipment by supplying a different coating paint having the performance corresponding to the performance of a coated film required for each part of an automobile body to a painting gun for each part, and painting. CONSTITUTION:Plural painting guns 3, 4, 5, 6 are arranged in a second coating booth in correspondence with each part of a body. A second coating paint having excellent resistance to weather, for example, can be supplied to a top gun 3, the usual second coating paint to the high side gun 4 and the middle side gun 5, and a tipping resistant second coating paint to a low side gun 6. Then when an undercoated automobile body 2 enters the second coating booth, the second coating paints having different performance are painted with each gun 3, 4, 5, 6 to form a second coated film having different performance in correspondence with each part.
