<p>PURPOSE:To leach and recover As from pulplike electrolytically precipitated copper in a high yield by reacting the copper with sulfuric acid while blowing air to dissolve and extract As in the copper and by terminating the reaction at the time when the liq. gets cloudy. CONSTITUTION:Sulfuric acid is added to pulplike electrolytically precipitated copper contg. As, Sb, Bi, etc., and they are stirred while blowing air to leach and separte As usable as a starting material for marketable As2O3 from the copper. At this time, the process of the reaction is observed, and the stirring and the blowing of air are stopped to terminate the reaction at the time when the pulp gers cloudy. The end point of the As extraction reaction can be confirmed without using wasteful electric power, and As is leached and recovered in a high yield.</p> |
