PURPOSE:To improve the operating efficiency under low output while to reduce the energy loss in flow path by providing a valve body movable along the outercircumference of runner around the center of runner and increasing/decreasing the cross-section of flow-in path by means of the valve body. CONSTITUTION:A runner 2 is provided rotatably through a runner shaft 2a in a casing 10 having a flow-in port 10a at the side and a flow-out port 10c at the bottom. A valve body 11 is arranged between the upper wall 10d of casing 10 and the runner 2 to be rotatable around the center of runner shaft 2a by means of a drive system provided at the outside of casing 10. The valve body 11 is rotated counter clockwise to reduce the cross-section of flow-in path gradually. Here, the range of runner for receiving water is increased/decreased with correspondence to opening/closing of flow-in path 10b. Consequently, the operating efficiency under low output is improved while the energy loss of flow-in path 10b is reduced. |
