PURPOSE:To aim at reducing sliding resistance by providing a ball joint section and a convex section on the rod of a displacer piston which is reciprocated together with a power piston with a certain phase angle therebetween within a cylinder so that the convex section is made in contact with the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:In a heat gas engine, a power piston and a displacer piston 6 are reciprocated with a certain phase angle therebetween within a cylinder 1. In this arrangement, the piston 6 is formed therein with a recess 17 on the rod 7 side, and as well that rod 7 is formed with a ball joint section 16, so that both are calked together, rotatably relative to each other. Further, a convex section 18 is formed on the piston 6 on the rod 7 side so that a suitable gap (t) is defined between the cylinder 1 and the piston 6 below the convex section 18. The convex section 18 has a curve which are obtained by connecting smooth curvatures, thereby the piston may smoothly slide on the inner surface 19 of the cylinder 1. |
