PURPOSE:To facilitate the setting of an original sheet conveying device as an attachment and smoothly discharge the already copied original from an original sheet outlet port, by providing a stopper means at an original sheet inlet port. CONSTITUTION:After the original D in a prescribed size is inserted into an inlet port 24 by an original sheet conveying device 1, a motor 41 is rotated forward to turn conveyance rollers 33, 34 to convey the original by a predetermined distance. When the rear edge of the original D is moved beyond a stop position, the motor 41 is rotated backward to reverse the conveyance rollers 33, 34 to convey the original D back to the inlet port 24 to push the rear edge of the original on the end face of a stopper means 32 secured on a platen 2 at the inlet port 24, so that the rear edge of the original is exactly placed in the stop position. The original D is then copied. After the copying, the motor 41 is rotated forward so that the copied original D is smoothly discharged from an original sheet outlet port 25 without jamming on a stopper.
