PURPOSE:To improve the operating efficiency under low output by providing a valve movable along the outercircumference of runner around the center of runner and a guide vane secured to the valve to be positioned between the valve and the outercircumference of runner for regulating the direction of water flow. CONSTITUTION:A runner 2 is fixed rotatably through a runner shaft 2a in a casing 10. The upper wall 10a of casing 10 is formed into an arch coaxial with the outercircumference of runner 2 while a valve 11 having common shaft with the runner 2 and rotatable while contacting with the innercircumferential face of upper wall 10a is provided in a space between them. Said valve 11 is closed through counter clockwise rotation to reduce the cross-section of flow-in path 1b. A plurality of guide vanes 12a-12d having the opposite ends secured to the opposite sides of valve 11 are provided in a guide path 10b formed between the innercircumference of valve 11 and the outercircumference of runner 2 to impinge the water flow in the guide path 10b against the runner blade 2b. |
