PURPOSE:To obtain a mark having high sharpness by forming a gaseous atmosphere for accelerating oxidation on the marking surface to be discolored and irradiating laser light thereto. CONSTITUTION:A marking part 9 receives the irradation of the laser light 7 condensed by a condenser lens 2 held in a lens barrel 3. Gaseous O2 is injected from a flexible supply pipe 12 toward the part 9 through the flow passage 6 of a nozzle 5 attached to the barrel 3 in the state of projecting from the top end face thereof. A gaseous O2 atmosphere is formed in the part 9 and the legible sharp marking is formed even if the energy of the laser light 7 is low. |
