摘要 PURPOSE:To keep the forces made to act from both sides by both upper rolls in the horizontal direction, in equilibrium, by making the inclination of the roll axis of an upper roll for rolling the short-side side of a rolling material larger than that of an upper roll for rolling the long-side side of the material. CONSTITUTION:A rolling material is rolled by making the axial angle theta1 of an upper roll 2a for rolling the short side part 32 of material larger than the axial angle theta2 of an upper roll 2b for rolling the long side part 33. A horizontal force PT produced by the upper roll is equal to a force which pushes the material to the central side, and increases with the increase of the side length (l) which is in contact with the upper roll 2b and also with the increase of the axial angle theta. Therefore, the axial angle theta1 of the side of short side part 32 is made larger than the axial angle theta2 of the side of long side part with respect to the side of long side part 33 on which the horizontal force proportional to the long side- length (l2) is burdened to produce a horizontal force equal to the horizontal force acting from the side of long side part. In this way, the crest section 31 of angle steel is kept at a target position.
