PURPOSE:To prevent the blocking of a suction tube by a method in which a cutter is provided in front of the excavation port of a bucket to cut soil into small lumps and thereby the adherence of soil to the inner wall of the bucket is lessened. CONSTITUTION:A wheel 2 and a bucket 6 on the periphery of the wheel 2 are turned around a rotary shaft 1, and soil (m) on the bottom under water is excavated by a bucket 6 set on the downside of the wheel 2. When the suction port 11 of the bucket 6 comes near the suction port 12 on the fixed side, the bucket 6 is led to the soil intake chamber 15, and soil (m) in the bucket 6 is taken into the chamber 15 under its own weight and by suction force of a suction tube 13 and then delivered onto a ship through the suction tube 13. By a cutter 10 provided in front of the excavaction port of the bucket 6, the soil is cut into small lumps, the adherence of the soil to the inner surface of the bucket 6 is lessened, and therefore, the blocking of the suction tube 13 can be prevented. |
