PURPOSE:To form the end face of a work to a good flat face free from generation of burrs by pressing the end face of the work after pressing the corner of end face of the semicylindrical work and forming a flat face by coining. CONSTITUTION:The semicylindrical work W set on a lifter 23 mounted on a die 21 is fixed by a pad 15 attached to a punch 7 by lowering an upper holder 3. Lowering of the upper holder is continued, and the slanted part 29 of a cam driver 31 attached there to is engaged with the slanted part 39 of a cam slide 33 to slide the cam slide 33 to the work W side. The corner part 35 of end face 1 of the work W is pressed and squeezed by the pressing part 37. Then, the upper holder 3 is further lowered, and coining of the end face 1 is performed by bringing the tip 20 of the punch 7 into contact with the end face 1 and pressing it while holding the work W between bent parts 45 of the lifter 23 and die 21 and a pad 5. |
