<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a gas separating member having high separation factor, permeating capacity, mechanical strength, and durability by forming polymer thin film having at least two layers by the plasma polymn. on the surface of a porous substrate. CONSTITUTION:Porous substrate having <=1,000Angstrom pores is preferred because the stability of formed thin polymer film is satisfactory. The porous substrate comprises a porous glass film or polysulphone film having 10-1,000mu thickness. The thin polymer film for the first layer formed directly on the surface of the porous substrate is pref. organosilane resin film. The first layer film has a fixed chemical compsn. and chemical structure in the thickness direction of the film. Second thin polymer film layer having chemical compsn. or chemical structure changing continuously or stagewise in the thickness direction of the film is formed on the first thin polymer film layer. Said second layer is formed with a monomer mixture comprising the same compsn. as the first layer incorporating one or two org. monomer thereto. These layers are formed by plasma polymn.</p> |
