PURPOSE:To obtain a composite material having high press sticking strength at a good yield by specifying the roughness of joint surfaces in a process for producing the composite material by press sticking the different materials to each other. CONSTITUTION:A base metal and a coating metal consisting of different metals are defatted and cleaned, then the average surface roughness of the joint surfaces thereof is made 3-20mu and thereafter the metals are press-stuck to obtain a composite material. If the average surface roughness is >=3mu, the press sticking strength is high and if <=20mu, the rate of generating blister is decreased and the high press sticking strength is attained. The composite material having the high press-sticking strength is thus obtd. at a good yield by regulating the average surface roughness of the joint surfaces within the above-described range. |
