PURPOSE:To raise the safety and reliability of stacking operaions of blocks by a method in which connectors are provided on the backs of blocks, one ends of cables are fixed through the connectors to the blocks, and the other ends of the cables are provided with supporters for a vertical retaining wall. CONSTITUTION:Blocks 4 for the base layer are placed on desired positions, and one ends of cables 34 are attached through the first turnbuckles 36 to connectors 32 on the backs of the blocks 4. Anchor plates 38 as supporters are attached through the second turnbuckles 40 to the other ends of the cables 34. Banking is provided on the anchor plates 38 portion and compacted and the cables 34 and even the first turnbuckles 36 portions are likewise treated to complete the banking operation of the base layer portion. The same processes are repeated thereafter to construct a vertical retaining wall. The falling-down of the blocks during the stacking operation can be thus be prevented, and the vertical retaining wall can be strongly supported by the supporters. |
