PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction of a liquid level controller without allowing an undissolved basic compd. to remain in the plating liquid to be returned with a titled dissolving tank for an electroplating line having insoluble anodes by dividing specifically the tank into plural chambers. CONSTITUTION:A dissolving tank 14A is divided to the 1st-3rd chambers 34-1-34-3 by partition plates 32. Lower and upper overflow passages 36 are respectively provided between the 1st and 2nd chambers are between the 2nd and 3rd chambers. The 1st chamber communicates with a pipe 12 for accepting a plating liquid 10 and is provided with a device 20 for feeding out a basic compd. 16 and a stirrer 22. The 3rd chamber communicates with a piping 30 for returning the liquid 10 and is provided with a liquid level controller 24. Said chamber is thoroughly partitioned from the 1st chamber and is hermetically closed. The powder compd. 16 fed out into the 1st chamber is uniformly stirred with the liquid 10 by the stirrer 22 to form the liquid 10 having a high concn. which flows through the passage 36 the 2nd chamber the passage 36 the 3rd chamber. The stagnating time of the liquid 10 in the tank 14A is thus extended and the powder 16 is thoroughly dissolved; further the short circuit of the powder 16 between the chambers and the influence of the wave motion of the liquid surface in the 1st chamber on the 3rd chamber are prevented. The malfunction of the controller 24 is prevented as well.
