Compounds of formula I wherein R1 is C1-3alkyl, and wherein R7 is hydrogen, R8 or M, wherein R8 is a physiologically acceptable and hydrolyzable ester forming group, and M is a cation, which are indicated for use in the treatment of hyperlipoproteinemia and atherosclerosis.
