PURPOSE:To attain high efficiency and high reliability by providing a flowing hole with a filter penetrating a blade and a housing to an inner circumference of a spindle housing and providing a gap flowing gas between the spindle housing and the outer rotor of the spindle motor. CONSTITUTION:The outer race turning type spindle housing 9 having a prescribed gas flowing gap 10 and loaded with a magnetic disc medium 1 is provided freely turnably and a blade 11 is formed regularly to the inner circumferential face of the housing 9. Moreover, lots of flowing holes 12a-12c with air filters 13 penetrated to the wall are provided regularly to a side wall and upper/ lower walls of the housing 9. In driving the outer race turning spindle housing 9, the air around the magnetic disc medium 1 or the like is extracted in the housing 9 through the flowing holes 12b, 12c with the air filter 13 by a radial fan. Thus, dust in air is removed and the air around the magnetic disc medium 1 is kept clean at all times.
