PURPOSE:To transmit data to the 2nd device while using the merit of a device having a closed function by transmitting the data to the 2nd device while turning on and off a liquid crystal display part of the 1st device having the liquid crystal display part for displaying time or the like usually in accordance with the data to be transmitted. CONSTITUTION:The 2nd device 16 for reading out the ON and OFF of the liquid crystal is fixed to a data collecting digital clock 17 by the projected parts 25 and the recessed parts 24. Since the whole surface of the liquid crystal panel is coated and interrupted from external incident light, only indirect light from a lighting lamp included in the 2nd device 16 is made incident on the liquid crystal panel. Since the liquid crystal is not lighted up, the incident light alpha is transmitted through the liquid crystal panel 21 and made to arrive at a reflecting plate 20. The light alpha is reflected by the reflecting plate 20, transmitted through the liquid crystal panel again, made incident on a corresponding hole, and made to arrive at a photodetecting element. When the liquid crystal is lighted up, only slight light out of incident light reaches the corresponding hole. The ON or OFF status of the liquid crystal is used as data and transmitted to an equipped electronic circuit substrate 19. |
