PURPOSE:To obtain a laser worked stainless steel having the good finish not possible with the prior art by adding a removing agent consisting essentially of hydrofluoric acid by coating, spraying or dipping to a cut piece of a stainless steel cut to a prescribed shape by a laser working machine thereby cleaning the piece. CONSTITUTION:A cut piece of a stainless steel obtd. by cutting a stainless steel 3 by a laser working machine is treated with a removing agent which consists essentially of hydrofluoric acid and is added with >=1 kind among nitric acid, phosphoric acid, etc. The content of the hydrofluoric acid in the removing agent is preferably 1-50wt%. The removing agent is added to the cut piece of the stainless steel by coating, spraying or dipping to clean the piece. A thickener such as PVC, Mg compd. or the like is added to the removing agent in the case of treating the cut piece by coating or spraying. Coloring of the cut end face 1 of the cut stainless steel piece is decolored and the dross 2 formed on the rear of the cut piece is thoroughly removed according to the above-mentioned method, by which the satisfactory product is obtd. |
