A device is described for treating even complicated surfaces of mouldings by means of a corona discharge. According to the invention, in this case, the mouldings (1) which are placed on base electrodes (7) are moved past on freely suspended flexible discharge units, in a rolling-off movement. In this case, the rolling-off movement is set by means of a suitable combination of a translational conveying speed and a moulding angular speed in such a manner that the surface (3) which is respectively to be treated is at rest relative to the active, flexible discharge unit (3) at the moment of the discharge. The flexible discharge units (3) are suspended along a polygonal loop which is determined by the conveyor path and the surface points (3) which are in each case at rest relative to the interior of the loop. In consequence, contact between the discharge units (2) and the moulding surfaces outside the discharge phase is prevented, as far as possible. <IMAGE>
