A device for adjusting and securing the head portion of a bed frame with a gas pressure spring operating in the upward pivotal direction of the bed frame and actuatable via a handle, the surface for lying on consisting in particular of at least three frame parts which are pivotably mounted on the bed frame (1) and which act as a head portion, (4), a middle portion (5) and a foot portion (6), the gas pressure spring (18) being disposed below the head end region of the head portion (4) and acting upon a pivoting lever (10) on a rotating shaft (9), characterised in that the rotating shaft (9) is rigidly connected to a lower scissor lever (11) of a two-levered scissor hinge, the free end of the other, upper scissor lever (13) being rotatably mounted on the head portion (4), and a catch (25) being provided on the stationary part (28) of the bed frame (1) for securing the head portion (4) in its lowered position.</p> |
