<p>Device relating to the protection before use of threads and thrust-forming seal bearings (66) which are involved in the sealing thereof and threads (55) of male or female junction areas of metal tubes. It comprises a plastic ring (56) which is threaded to the thread (55) of the metal tube (54). A first lip (63) bears resiliently and sealingly to the seal bearing (66) at the vicinity of its inner edge (65). A closed annular volume (67) protects the seal bearing. A second lip (55) protects the threaded area. The device may be particularly applied to truncated cone-shaped seal bearings of tubes having a truncated cone-shaped thread. The ring may be covered with a metal reinforcement ferrule (68).</p> |
