Self-adjusting clutch actuating device for motor vehicles, with a suspended clutch pedal, capable of swivelling about an axis, and a toothed segment capable of swivelling about the same axis, on which segment a tension element connected to the clutch acts, a retaining catch, swivel-mounted on the free end of the clutch pedal, which catch on the one hand engages with the toothed segment in the event of a clutch pedal disengaging movement and positively couples the segment to the clutch pedal, and on the other, in the event of an ensuing engaging movement of the clutch pedal is disengaged from the toothed segment by a catch stop shortly before the pedal reaches its rest position, being designed as a double arm rocking lever with a first lever arm carrying ratchet teeth and a second lever arm extending away from this and carrying at least one ratchet tooth, and when the clutch pedal is not operated being capable of being manually swivelled so far against the action of a spring force that the ratchet tooth can then be made to engage in the toothed segment when the latter is manually swivelled out of its rest position against the action of a spring force, and the second lever arm being so dimensioned and arranged that the toothed segment is then prevented from swivelling back under the action of the spring force. <IMAGE> |
