The invention relates to an ever-ready bag which is particularly suitable for reflex cameras, is made of soft material, is provided with a closable opening for the camera lens and consists of two blanks, preferably of equal size, which are connected to one another by a seam running in the plane of symmetry of the empty bag. Mounted near to the upper edge which bounds the main opening of the bag are fasteners, for example in the form of press studs, by means of which two opposite edge regions can be connected to one another when the camera is located in the bag.
