PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a tyre and to simultaneously satisfy stabilization of size and durability to a high speed, by a method wherein the cord of belt layers has elasticity modulus of 10<5>kg/cm<2>, and the one of the belt layers forms a fold ply. CONSTITUTION:A tyre 1 is formed such that it has two bead cords 2 and 3 at a bead part, and a carcass play 4 consisting of plural plies is arranged around the bead cores. Belt layers 5 are included at the outside of the crown part of the carcass, and at least one of the belt layers 5 is a fold ply which has the folded- back end. Two fold plies F1 and F2, only the one end of which is folded back, are combined with cut and plies P1 and P2, and a material having elasticity modulus of 10<5>kg/cm<2>, such as steel, alamid, is used as the cord of the belt layers 5. |
