PURPOSE:To enable the lens surface of a retractable lamp to be flush with the outer surface of a vehicle body when the lamp is stored, by providing a holding member which holds the lamp in the condition of optical axis adjustment at the position where a support member is used, and which releases the condition of optical axis adjustment during turning of the lamp to the storage position. CONSTITUTION:When a link 48 for rotating a motor 46 is turned to the side remote from a support member 4, a hold member 6 is rotated toward its release position, and accordingly, the holding positions of both optical axis adjusting screws 70, 76 are retracted while a lamp 52 is tilted by means of a spring 84 until round shape nuts 74, 80 abut against the support member 4. At this time the position of the lamp 52 with respect to the support member 4 is such that the lens surface 58 of the lamp 52 is made to be flush with the outer surface 86 of the vehicle body when the support member 4 is at its storage position. When a stopper 32 abuts against the support member 4, the hold member 6 is limited while the support member 4 is rotated to the storage position by a drive means 44 until it abuts against a stopper 12 so that the lamp 52 is stopped and positioned in the stored condition. Thus, the lens surface is made to be flush with the outer surface of the vehicle body, thereby it is possible to reduce noise and to prevent foreign object from being introduced. |
