PURPOSE:To detect surely a faulty detector out of plural detectors by applying an operation system of the least squares method on a basis of detection signals of plural detectors to detect automatically a specific faulty detector. CONSTITUTION:If an observed value Xl is abnormal because one of m-number of detectors is faulty, the value of an evaluation function J which is calculated with this signal by a trouble discriminating part 102 is considerably larger than a prescribed value J0, and an output signal S2 is ''1''. Then, a trouble diagnostic part 103 stores input signals Y1-Ym and operates the evaluation function thereafter to pick up a minimum evaluation function value J<X>. Data indicating that the detector corresponding to the exponent l is faulty is displayed on a trouble display part 104. Meanwhile, only the l-th Yl out of signals Y1-Ym is substituted with the l-th estimated value Xl in an output group 201. An operator finds the faulty detector in accordance with display on the display part 104. Since correct observed values are always supplied to the output group 201, a plant is operated similarly to normality. |
