PURPOSE:To improve assembling workability and to enhance safety, by connecting a drum main body and the main shaft in the side of a tire molding machine in such a state that said drum main body is always coincided with the axial core of said main shaft. CONSTITUTION:In attaching a drum main body 1 to a main shaft, the drum main body 1 is hung up in a diameter reduced state. At this time, the end surface of a rod 3 in the side of the main shaft and the end surface thereof in the side opposite to the main shaft are present at the position shown by an imaginary line. Similarly, a flange 7 is also present at the position shown by an imaginary line and retracted to the right side so as not to obstruct the inner shaft 24 of a tire molding machine 20. Further, the main body sleeve 2 of the drum main body 1 is clamped into a flange 28 through a bolt 30 while a socket part 31 is aligned and, subsequently, the inner shaft 24 is extruded to the left side and contacted with the rod 3. In this state, a rod 54 with a thread is pushed into the main body sleeve 2 from the left side free end thereof and pierced through the piercing bore 41 of the rod 41 to be threaded into the female thread 53 of the inner shaft 24. By this method, attachment work is completed. |
