Composition and process for the single-bath single-stage alkaline pretreatment of cellulose-containing textile materials

By using a highly alkali-resistant wetting agent as penetration aid it is possible to pretreat cellulose-containing textile materials in a single stage in a single bath with an alkaline liquor from 15 to 36 DEG Bé. This pretreatment is very economical, since the textile materials obtained can be dyed or printed immediately thereafter.
