Automatic water tap and a screwed hose connection for the latter

An automatic tap for water systems supplied by small electric pumps has a fixed spindle (16) which can be rotated, during the rotary motion of which a switching element (20) coupled via a thread (18) and further engagement means has an axial motion imparted to it, an electric switch (28) for switching on the current supply for the water pump thereby being actuated via a switching lug (22). By using threads of different pitch for the actuation of the switching element and of the valve seal (40), it is possible to ensure that a water pressure builds up, even when the passage for the water has been opened to a virtually imperceptible extent. The high water pressure required for higher standards of amenity, e.g. when using a plurality of take-off points or shower devices, is accommodated safely by screwed hose connections (90) which are simple to operate by hand and in which the hoses are pushed onto hose nozzles (66), and compression of the hoses between annular beads (68) and oblique surfaces (72) of corresponding shape formed on union nuts (70) ensures the required pressure-tightness.
