In a height-adjustable irradiation device (4) for immediate acquisition of a tan, in the housing of which reflectors (5) and UV-A lamps (6) are arranged in two adjacent rows, adjustment of the reflectors is provided to achieve uniform irradiation of the exposed surface. For this purpose, the reflectors (5) are hinged with their inner edge (9) on the housing (13) and are provided with a pivoting device moving the two rows counter to the plane of symmetry (21).
