A spindle-clamp assembly is provided to securely clamp a video information disk in a precisely centered position on a rotatable drive spindle. The apparatus comprises a radially expandable sleeve mounted on the spindle, which is sized for reception into a central opening on the disk. The expandable sleeve cooperates with a wedge collet biased downward by a spring within the clamp housing, to ensure uniform radial expansion of the sleeve and to center the disk on the spindle.
