A building panel for securing bank rooms or the like has two outer plates which extend parallel to one another and between which is located a filling having movable bodies. The movable bodies are arranged freely movably with play and have a substantially larger extension in one direction than in another direction, being made, especially, bar-shaped. The building panel is light and extremely effective, since it is virtually impossible to overcome it by attacks with drilling tools. An attack with drilling tools generates vibrations which lead to a jamming and destruction of the drilling tool. The vibrations also lead to the generation of a considerable amount of noise which activate alarm systems and which attract the attention of persons. The building panel can also be attached subsequently to the inner walls of existing safes, the security of which is thereby increased. Normal cellar rooms can also be converted into safes by means of the building panel. In new safe constructions, it is possible for the building panel to be cast in concrete walls. <IMAGE>
