Control device for the fuel/air ratio of a boiler using a flap which is controlled by a motor via a gear mechanism and controls the air rate. A turn-back spring is provided which can turn the gear mechanism together with the motor back into the starting position. Also provided is a freewheel, with the result that the motor turned back by the spring is separated from the gear mechanism at the end of the turn-back movement. According to one variant of the invention, the gear mechanism has an input wheel which is driven by the motor and is arranged between the output wheels, the axes of which are in alignment, and all three wheels can be fixed in various angular positions relative to one another via a coupling element, one output wheel acting on the fuel adjustment and the other acting on the plate adjustment. A double synchronous motor or a stepping motor can also be used as a driving motor.
