PURPOSE:To fill up the shortage of heat-insulating materials in the bottom caused by sinking for sure to maintain the heat-insulating function constantly by dividing a skirt between the inner and the outer tank into two, the upper and the lower part, and making a funnel-shaped expanded part in the lower skirt catch upper heat-insulating materials efficiently for letting them flow down. CONSTITUTION:Heat-insulating materials 5 under a skirt 3 are pressed and sunk by warming-up, cooling-down, and other actions in secular use to be given cubical reductions. Granular heat-insulating materials 5 in the upper part are caught by a funnel shaped expanded-part 3''' of the lower skirt 3'', and made to flow down through a ring-shaped slit opened between the lower part of the upper skirt 3' and the expanded part 3''' for filling up the pressed volume in the lower skirt. Besides, heat-insulating materials 5 in the upper part are properly supplied through an upper manhole. The shifting of skirts by the displacement of an inner tank 1 and the thermal stress from thermal distribution is sufficiently absorbed by the relative sliding between the upper skirt 3' and upper rims 90 of ribs 9. |
