<??>The device is characterised in that the attachment of rotating parts of the pedal to the axle (1) takes place by means of a holding element (7) which has a smooth central opening for engagement on the outer end of the smooth axle behind the cone (3), the aforesaid element extending as far as a precise axial position in order to conserve the required mechanical play for the ball bearings or roller elements, the holding element being dimensioned or treated in such a way as to be attached in a frictionally engaging fashion but without impact, compression and without welding.
