PURPOSE:To minimize the change in quantity of light on a photosensitive body according to variable powers with a slit exposing type variable power copying machine by placing a stationary slit near an original and providing a means for adjusting quantity of light moving cooperatively with the variable power. CONSTITUTION:If a stationary slit 10 which limits the slit width of the light reflected from an original 0 is provided integrally with a lamp 2 for irradiating the original and a reflection mirror 3, the imaging width changes according to the variable power and therefore the change in the quantity of light is decreased. A mechanical means for stopping the quantity of light or an electrical means for controlling the quantity of illuminating light is combined cooperatively with the movement (6a, 6b) for the variable power of an imaging lens 6, by which the exposure on a photoensitive body is maintained approximately constant over the wide variable power region of about 0.64X-1.42X. |
