PURPOSE:To control directionally and irradiate the rays emitted from a flash lamp by disposing light direction control means in the aperture of a hyperbola reflector. CONSTITUTION:A flash fixing device 1 is disposed behind a photosensitive drum 2 and fixes paper 3 having the toner image transferred from a drum 2 by welding with the rays emitted from a lamp 4. The lamp 4 is formed into a bar shape and is attached to both sides of a reflector 5 having the hyperbola section by which the irradiating rays can be converted to parallel rays so as to be enclosed by said reflector 5. Light direction control means 7 constituted of plural light direction control plates 6 arrayed approximately perpendicularly apart at a suitable space from each other are disposed in the aperture of the reflector 5. The light A from the lamp A which is irradiated to the reflector 5 is reflected perpendicularly to the paper 3 and the light is irradiated to the plates 6 is attenuated in luminous intensity after reflection by the adjacent plates 6 and leaks to the outside of the device 1. |
