<p>PURPOSE:To enable the simple and quick treatment when the jam of a sheet arises or in the stage of inspection by detaching sheet separating pawls from a fixing roller according to need. CONSTITUTION:A sheet discharge guide stay 5 is turned upward around a fulcrum shaft 3 and is raised when the jam of a sheet arises or in the stage of inspection. The sheet discharge guides 9, 11 fixed to the stay 5 and an upper sheet discharge roller 15 attached to the guide 11 are turned upward integrally with the stay 5 and are opened and since the releasing arm 12 of the guide 9 lifts sheet separating pawls 4 by engaging with the bottom surfaces of the engaging arms 7 of the pawls 4 cooperatively with said turning, the pawls 4 are turned upward around the shaft 3 and the pawl parts 4a are detached from the circumferential surface of a fixing roller 1. The recording paper wound on the roller 1, etc. is thus removed easily without being interfered by the pawls 4. The stay 5 is simply turned downward around the shaft 3 and is laid down after the abnormal state is eliminated or when the inspection ends.</p> |
