PURPOSE:To improve the heat conductivity and adsorption efficiency of a panel by sandwiching spherical or circular columnar adsorbents between brazing filler metals on a base plate having good heat conductivity, bringing these metals into tight contact with each other by heating under pressure, cutting away the upper layer down to the radius of the adsorbents or below and restraining geometrically the adsorbents into tight contact with each other. CONSTITUTION:Spherical or circular columnar adsorbents 3 consisting of activated carbon, ultrafine porous SiO2 or the like are sandwiched between the recesses of Al-Si brazing filler metals 4a, 4b on an aluminum or aluminum alloy base plate 1 having good heat conductivity and are brought into press contact with each other by a weight 8 and are thus welded to each other under heating in producing an adsorption panel for low-temp. service. The upper layer 9 is then cut away 12 down to the radius of the adsorbents 3 or below. The adsorbents 3 are geometrically restrained to the brazing filler metals 9 in tight contact therewith. The deterioration in the cryogenic He adsorptivity of the adsorbents 3 is obviated by the restrained binding of the nonwettable materials 3, 9 and the loosening and dislodging of the adsorbents 3 in releasing with heating are obviated as well. The adsorption panel for low-temp. service is thus improved.
|
