PURPOSE:To obtain a functional cell array, which is higher in mounting density as a whole, operates at higher speeds and consumes little electric power, by a method wherein plural first logic function cell arrays, in each of which first logic function cells which have respectively a first logic circuit function and a first operating speed have been arranged, and plural second logic function cell arrays, in each of which second logic function cells which have respectively a second logic circuit function and a second operating speed have been arranged, are arrayed in parallel to each other on one sheet of semiconductor substrate while wiring regions are made to respectively interpose between the first logic function cell arrays and the second logic function cell arrays. CONSTITUTION:Plural logic function cell arrays 3, in each of which logic-state cells 2 which have respectively a simple logic circuit function and a first operating speed have been arranged in a lateral direction, are respectively arrayed at prescribed intervals in a longitudinal direction on one sheet of semiconductor substrate 1. Then, plural logic function cell arrays 13, in each of which logic function cells 12 which have respectively a complicated logic circuit function and a second operating speed have been arranged in a lateral direction, are respectively arrayed between the logic function cell arrays 3 in a longitudinal direction while wiring regions 4 are respectively held between the logic function cell arrays 3 and the logic function cell arrays 13. A cell array is constituted in such a way and the arrays 3 and 13 are performed a connection through the wiring regions 4 in such a way as to become a prescribed connection. That is, the arrays 3 and 13 are housed together in one sheet of substrate without being separately arranged on an individual substrate. |
