PURPOSE:To adjust automatically a load power-factor by turning on and cutting off automatically a power-factor improving element basing on a load current. CONSTITUTION:When a lagging current Il flows to a load L, a coil S is energized and attracts a movable iron piece P. As a result, a limit switch LS1 is closed, and when the iron piece concerned P is further attracted, a limit switch LS2 is also operated, and an electromagnetic coil MC is energized. As a result, a contact MC is closed, a capacitor C is charged, and a leading current Ic flows. In this way, as for a current Io supplied from a power source, the power-factor is adjusted by the current Il of the load L and the leading current Ic of the capacitor C. |
