PURPOSE:To enable a setting of proper amount of combustion air to be made in an intake and exhaust top to be used in a hot water heater or the like by a method wherein a movable cylinder having several intake and exhaust ports is slidably mounted in a fixed cylinder so as to adjust an area of intake and exhaust port. CONSTITUTION:A top is provided with a fixed cylinder 1 having a wall surface fixing flange 2, a movable cylinder 3 having a several exhaust ports 4 and intake ports 5 at its circumferential wall which is slidably mounted in the fixed cylinder 1, and an inner cylinder 6 fixed in concentric with the movable cylinder 3 within the movable cylinder 3. In side of the movable cylinder 6 is formed with an exhaust pipe 7 communicating with exhaust ports 4 and the outside of it is provided with an intake pipe 8 communicating with the intake ports 5. The sliding parts of the fixed cylinder 1, movable cylinder 3 and inner cylinder 6 are provided with seal rings 9 and 10, respectively, and the terminal ends of the intake pipe 8 and the exhaust pipe 7 are provided with an intake cylinder connection part 11 and an exhaust cylinder part 12. The outer circumferential surface of the movable cylinder 3 is provided with a position setting scale 13. Therefore, the movable cylinder 3 is slid and the position setting scale 13 is aligned with the end part of the fixed cylinder 1, thereby it is possible to get the desired value of combustion air. |
