An autochanger type optical compact disc player includes a disc tray (200) for holding a large number of discs (201) in close proximity, a disc playback section and a disc transferring section for transferring the disc between the disc tray and the disc playback section. The disc tray is formed a plurality of disc holding grooves (202) and partition walls (203) for dividing the disc holding grooves from each other. Bottom bases of the disc holding grooves (202) are rounded at a radius corresponding to the radius of the discs and upper ends of the partition walls inclining towards the direction that the discs go in the disc holding grooves with respect to the tangent (Q) of the periphery (P) of the discs at any point where the periphery of the discs crosses with the upper ends.
