摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To permit heating after printing at <=200 deg.C thus permitting safe operation for the formation of orientation film by forming siloxane coating by printing a soln. contg. an org. silane compd. in isopropyl alcohol, then forming a liquid crystal orientation film thereon. CONSTITUTION:A coating is formed by printing a soln. contg. a silane coupling agent in isopropyl alcohol on a substrate. Thus, liquid crystal orientation film is obtd. Suitable silane coupling agent is an org. silane, for example, trialkoxy monoalkyl silane, etc. and suitable amt. of the silane coupling agent to be added to isopropyl alcohol is 2-20pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. isopropyl alcohol. Suitable process for printing the isopropyl alcohol soln. of the silane coupling agent on the substrate is, for example, off-set printing method, etc. After coating, polyimide film or polyamide film is formed. The surface of the film is subjected to preparation process for liquid crystal cell such as rubbing, Thus, a liquid crystal indication cell is prepd.</p>
