PURPOSE:To make a mold rotating apparatus small and lightweight and to increase the productivity, in which apparatus after a primarily molded item has been injection molded, the molds are opened, a rotating drum retaining the male mold is rotated a prescribed angle to be moved to a prescribed position for the secondary molding, by rotating the rotating drum by an actuator that will be rotated by compressed air. CONSTITUTION:An actuator 3 for rotating an output shaft 2 by compressed air is firmly bolted to the lower part of the back surface of a vertically arranged rectangular attaching table 1. The output shaft 2 is passed through a bearing mounted to the attaching table 1 and projected from the surface of the attaching table 1, and a first spur gear 4 is secured to the forward end of the output shaft 2. The rotation of the first gear is transmitted via a second spur gear 5 to a third spur gear 7. The forward section 9 of the third spur gear 8 is square in shape, and is fitted into a square hole 11 formed in the central section of the back wall of a rotating drum 10. The actuator 3 is in communication with a compressed air supply source and is actuated by a change-over valve that is opened in association with the opening of the molds. |
