PURPOSE:To obtain a picture tube having such shadowmask supporting structure as withstandable sufficiently against the vibration in axial direction without increasing the thickness of mask frame or spring by welding one ends of four springs respectively to four corner sections of mask frame. CONSTITUTION:A shadowmask 16 is welded to a mask frame 15 while one ends of springs 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d are welded to four corner sections 18A, 18B, 18C, 18D of the mask frame 15. The other ends of the springs 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d are fitted respectively to the panel pins 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d burried in a face panel 11. The welding points 188A, 188B, 188C, 188D are at one corner section of the mask frame 155 where the area of quadrilateral surrounded by four welding points will match with the area surrounded by the mask frame. Since it is welded at the corner sections of mask frame, vibration at the corner section can be suppressed. |
