The paving machine is especially for laying paving stones in blocks. The machine consists of a self-propelled vehicle with a clamp for handling the paving blocks. The clamp has front, rear and side clamps with the gap between the front and rear elements being adjustable. The clamp has separate and detachable supports which connect the front and rear clamp to the clamp. - Adjusters enable the spacing between the separate sections of the front and rear clamps to be regulated. The number of sections in the front and rear clamps is selected according to the number of paving stones in each block. Each of thepports is in the form of a detachable telescopic bar which also forms part of the adjusters.
