PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform stable operation, by forming a water draining hole, which is opened and closed by an opening and closing mechanism wherein a stop cock is attached to one end of a coil body made of a shape memorizing alloy, in a base plate, thereby securing the level of the condensed water. CONSTITUTION:An opening and closing mechanism 24 is provided with a coil body 25 made of a shape memorizing alloy, which is set so that it is elongated at a high-temperature phase and contracted at a low-temperature phase, and a stop cock 26, which is attached to one end of the coil body 25. At the time of cooling operation, the temperature of an outdoor heat exchanger 8 becomes high and the coil body 25 is elongated. Therefore, a water draining hole 21 is closed by the stop cock 26. Then the level of condensed water introduced to an outdoor space 5 is increased. The water is splashed by a slinger ring 15 and attached to the outdoor heat exchanger 8. Meanwhile, in heating operation, the function of the outdoor heat exchanger 8 is performed. Therefore, the coil body 25 is contracted, the stop cock 26 is lifted and the water draining hole 21 is opened. As a result, the condensed water formed on the surface of the outdoor heat exchanger 8 does not stay on the base plate 2 and is drained to the outside of the room through the water draining hole 21 and a drain joint 22. |
