PURPOSE:To prevent misoperation that recorded contents being erased with a simple operation by forming holes and a groove to be inserted with a writing rod preventing the recorded contents from being erased and enabling recording at a required time. CONSTITUTION:The holes 2 and groove 3 to be engaged with the writing rod preventing the recorded contents from being erased by misoperation during reproducing and enabling recording at a required time are formed in the cassette. At the recording time, the writing rod constituting of an soft and elastic material such as polyethylene is inserted to the holes 2 and the groove 3. The rod is removed at the reproducing time, so that the contents of the tape are not erased even if a recording button is depressed in error. Therefore, the operation is simple, extra labor such as the adhesion of an adhesive cellophane tape is unnecessary and the contents of the tape can be prevented from being erased by misoperation.
