PURPOSE:To reduce a secondary air-flow noise and exhaust pressure loss and improve an engine output by preventing an exhaust gas from making a U-turn (reversed) in a muffler. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas which is sent out into an exhaust inlet pipe 9, partly flows into a first chamber 6 through a small hole 21, and the remainder flows into a second chamber 7. The exhaust gas, which flowed into the first chamber 6, equally flows into a connecting pipe 22 and an outlet pipe 10, both of which have the same sectional area. The exhaust gas flowed into the second chamber 7 from the inlet pipe 9, flows into the connecting pipe 22 through small holes 23, is confluent with the exhaust gas in this introduction pipe 22, and flows out into the third chamber 8. The exhaust gas flowed into the third chamber 8 flows into the exhaust outlet pipe 10 through small holes 24, is confluent with the exhaust gas, which flowed in from the inlet end of this outlet pipe 10, and is discharged out into the open air. |
